Hi! My name is Olga, but most people call me Olya. I was born in Moscow, Russia and came to the United States as a refugee at 17 y.o. I lived in Philadelphia and New York City, and worked as a graphic designer in Fashion industry.

I always wanted to be an artist, I drew and painted since I was a kid.

When I moved to Montreal in 2011, I realized that this city was meant for me and I was meant to be an artist here. So I quit my day job and became a full time artist.

I painted Montreal streets (and orange cones) every single day for years. I participated in exhibitions,  sold my work and organized watercolour workshops and acrylic paint nights. I love sharing this practice with kids and adults.

Currently I am studying French Impressionism, specifically Monet techniques, taking classes at Visual Art centre, teaching after school art programs for kids, and hosting watercolour workshops for adults.

My artworks are in private collections in Canada, US and abroad.
